A new partnership between Parajumpers and Outpump magazine explores the narrative potential of the city landscape
One vast whole, told of a thousand different stories. In this creative collaboration between Parajumpers and Outpump magazine, the city is an adventure constantly unfolding, and its inhabitants are the explorers of its secrets.
A centre, a metropolis, a conurbation: the heart of the urban landscape beats through the arteries of its streets and its sidewalks, its escalators and elevators, its roads and its routes, until myth and legend become inextricably entwined with truth. In this editorial partnership, these narratives come alive through the medium of Parajumpers’ Fall-Winter 24 collection.
For men, find Sento, from our Mountain Out Loud series. Made from a two-shell fabric with a ciré finish, its interplay of matte and glossy textures brings to mind urban landscapes: concrete against chrome. There’s also Koto, part of the Urban Puffers series – think oversized, sculptural forms available in dark, city-inspired tones – as well as the longline, Cordura-ripstop Bold Parka.
For a lighter take, find Tel, a garment-dyed, stone-washed overshirt ready to hit the streets – pair with our Everest fleece, Tape Tee and stretch-twill Elroy pants, and add a Hari backpack.
For women, the reversible Bomb jacket, with its combination of demi-shine taffeta and matte twill, evokes the gloss and luster of the city – mirrored skyscrapers, bright lights. We also find Sento, with its textural interactivity and down-filled depth, and the bold, traffic-stopping Anya, a puffer with a bright palette and plush silhouette.
Our Water Flower jacket, made from ultra-glossy taffeta, features a distinctive, tulip-shaped hood and A-line shape for big-city impact. Wear with our May hoody or Tory alpaca-knit sweater and Shino bouclé-effect sweatpants for the perfect synthesis of rugged and soft, and add accessories such as our Power Jockey Hat or Hollywood Top Handle bag.
