Well, Ingólfur Már Olsen (“Ingo“) and Hreinn Eliasson (“Rain“), two born and bred Icelanders, decided that no wave of the Arctic's turbulent deep blue sea is too great for them.

Located in the polar region at the northernmost part of the Earth, the Arctic has become the playground of this one-of-a-kind surfer duo, whose passion is to wake up in the half-light every morning of their lives for the sake of surfing and living free with pounding hearts, souls at play.

“Surfing, the sport itself, it's traveling, it's outdoor, it's nature and it's healthy, it's fitness. So it's a perfect thing to do,“ explained Ingo, who can't get enough of surfing the ends of the world. A few years ago, the two die-hard adventurous surfers turned their passion into a real mission and founded Arctic Surfers – Iceland's one-and-only surfing tour operator that fills you with the joys of chasing and catching waves under nature's most extreme conditions.

“One of the most difficult things in surfing is of course reading the ocean, you just have to put in the time. You have to think about currents, reefs, waves, and animals in the water,“ added Ingo, while emphasizing that they've traveled around the globe searching for waves, but keeps on returning to the reefs of Iceland, where mother nature has always provided them with the greatest challenges to overcome.
